VRML Object-Oriented Extensions Working Group

The VRML OO-Extensions Working Group (OOE-WG) has been created to discuss and develop object-oriented extensions for VRML. The ultimate goal of the OOE-WG is to produce a proposal of extensions to be integrated into a future version of VRML.

An OO approach was first suggested by Sony, but did not become part of VRML 2.0 and Sony decided no longer pursue these ideas. See "Sony's approach to behavior and scripting aspects of VRML: an Object-Oriented perspective" by K. Matsuda, Y. Honda and R. Lea
