MissC: Instructions

After downloading the page "MissC.html" the Cosmo Player Plugin is loaded and an animated "flying" text introduces MissC. Then a second animation starts. Although the camera (viewpoint) is moving, the visitor has the impression that MissC is flying towards him. At the end of this animation also all initializations in the Java part (esp. network and applet/Plugin communication), which have been running in parallel to the animation, are finished and the visitor can now click at objects in the 3D browser or chat with other visitors. Before chatting the visitor should write a nickname for himself into the input field "user" on the web page. Then he can enter short messages in the field "message" and by clicking on the "Send" button, these messages are send to all visitors currently connected to the MissC server. In the 3D scene there are two menus. One menu contains textures and the other geometries. The visitor can click at a body part of the statue. The geometry and texture of that part will then be changed to those currently selected in the menus. These changes are also propagated to all other visitors. As a result at each instance of time (modulo network latency) there is only one version of the statue.
